Funding Disclosure: Advertisement & Sponsorship Policy

We're passionate and committed to providing our users (Both Healthcare Professionals and Healthcare Seekers) with quality health information that connects both the parties and reduces the barriers. Funding from our advertisers allows us to use much more powerful tools–including video, expert input, animations, and in-depth coverage. Sponsorships and advertisements are warmly welcome if the content is credible and aligns with our mission and vision, we will publish it, but it will always be clearly labelled as being from the advertisers and NOT from our editorial team.

In order to be consistent with our mission, we have developed the following guidelines about the types of advertising we accept.

Ads chosen by our Editorial.

Hia has sole discretion for determining the types of advertising that will be accepted and displayed on. As the website connects Healthcare Professionals and Seekers, Provides users with health information, we need to keep the sponsored posts & ads distinct from the information shown on the website.

We DON’T endorse any products.

Although products may appear on our site, under no circumstances shall Hia’s acceptance of any advertisement be considered an endorsement of the product(s) and/or service(s) advertised or for the company that manufactures, distributes, or promotes such product(s) or service(s).

There are certain categories of ads we can’t accept.

Hia will not permit at any time the placement of any advertising for illegal or objectionable products. Advertising must not contain fraudulent, deceptive, or offensive material, including material that misrepresents, ridicules, or attacks an individual or group on the basis of age, color, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or handicap.

Advertising must not be related to any of the following: alcohol, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, gambling, pornography, tobacco, or the simulation of news or an emergency.

Advertisers must only offer products or services, which are readily available for purchase at the advertised price (with noted tax and delivery fees). The advertising must also clearly identify the advertiser. Any advertising that could be misconstrued as editorial content will be clearly labeled as advertising.

We clearly distinguish sponsored and non-sponsored content.

From time to time Hia will seek sponsorships from trusted and credible institutions, research organizations, manufacturers, and other service providers. Sponsorships not only provide financial support to Hia, but also benefit our users by providing them with the most up-to-date information on health services, medications, and therapies in the marketplace.

In the event that content has been provided by or influenced by a named sponsor, we take meaningful steps to ensure that our users will not confuse sponsored content with Hia's original or licensed editorial content. Editorial content that is sponsored by an advertiser is subject to Hia's Editorial Policy and is reviewed by the Hia Editorial Staff. Content that is provided to Hia by a sponsor is identified as a "Sponsored Resource" and the sponsor has sole Editorialorial control.
